Willis Arnold is an artist currently located in Brooklyn, New York. He has recently begun to experiment with radio documentation. This site features examples of video and audio work by the artist as well as paintings, drawings, and collaborations.
His work often deals with themes of containment, perception, and juxtaposition. He is concerned with how the skewing of details from contemporary life can expose the relationship of the individual to larger environmental and social matrices. Although language is not visually present in all his work, it informs much of the imagery therein.
Each page contains an artist’s statement concerning the relevant media and an attached archive of selected work.
His work has been published by Le Journal de la Photographie and featured at Word of Mouth Gallery, New Orleans.
